Title: Lab Technician II (Purification) Location: Coralville, IA 52241 Duration: 0.6+ months with opportunity for extension or conversion Shift: Wednesday-Friday 7PM - 7:30AM (3 Day (Wed/Thurs/Fri) Overnights) Pay Rate: $21.92 /Hour on W2 (All Inclusive)Job Description:
- Sets up and operates automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
- Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
- Follows engineering drawings, work order information, Manufacturing Assembly Procedures, SOPs, and other written and verbal specifications in the manufacturing process.
- Installs, modifies, moves, troubleshoots, repairs and dismantles machinery and equipment according to requisition established documentation (e.g., SOPs), layout plans, blueprints or other drawings.
- Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
- Assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make sub-assemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment. Includes Machine Operator, Process Operations, Product Assembly, and Production Technician roles.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Perform the manufacturing tasks to transform raw materials into final products including decontamination process, product transfer, and maintenance connection software.
- Operate instruments in the lab that are needed to complete the tasks by following all work instructions and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Strictly adhere to customer specific as well as general work instructions and SOPs.
- Support daily management: assessment to drive problem solving with data and suggest countermeasures.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- An associate degree in a science related field or at least 18 months of lab experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Some laboratories experience.
- Proficiency in a variety of PC software programs with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- A bachelor's degree
- Life Science work experience.
- Ability to perform and transition through a variety of tasks with concurrent deadlines daily with urgency and efficiency while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
