  • Provide oversight and guidance to contract staff as directed by the UNO Assistant Director.
  • Work closely with assigned LDH deputy directors to identify contract needs and objectives and work to implement appropriate solutions.
  • Assist in the development of standards, procedures, long and short range plans and best practices to ensure efficient and effective division operations.
  • Assist with employment related issues.
  • Lead the effort on the development of job descriptions to ensure they meet current and future business needs of LDH.
  • Assist in leading the tracking of all hiring efforts on the contract to ensure delivery of stated objectives.
  • Create and maintain business process documentation.
  • Compile contract status reports and provide status deliverables to UNO and LDH stakeholders.
  • Act as secondary project status resource to LDH deputy directors.
  • Work with all sections as requested to provide necessary support.
  • Work in ensuring that any procedures, manuals, and overall organization of units are efficiently organized and up-to-date.
  • Conduct an annual performance evaluation for each subordinate, setting future goals and strategies.
  • Conduct recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and professional development of assigned staff.
  • Work on special contract and/or LDH related projects as designated.
  • Other tasks as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree or 6 years of professional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in government or healthcare environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience with creating process and procedure documentation.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to be diplomatic in problematic situations.
  • Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Great attention to detail and follow up, and verbal/written communications skills.
DESIRED:
  • Advanced degree.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in government or healthcare environment.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience with creating process and procedure documentation.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Relevant industry certifications.
