Innova Solutions is immediately hiring aDisaster Recovery Engineer.Position type: Permanent Duration: Fulltime Location: Minnesota, US As a Disaster Recovery Engineer, you will:
- Plan and design a recovery strategy to ensure IT systems can get back online quickly in case of a disaster,such as a flood or cyber-attack.
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive information and reduce the risk of data breaches during the recovery process.
- Regularly test and update disaster recovery plans to ensure they are effective and up-to-date. Collaborate with other IT teams, like network engineers and systems administrators, to create a comprehensive disaster response plan.
- Train employees on the proper procedures to follow in case of a disaster, ensuring they know their roles and how to keep the company's data safe.
- Monitor and assess potential threats to the IT infrastructure and take proactive steps to reduce risks. Keep critical systems backed up and ready to be restored in case of an emergency, reducing downtime and minimizing loss.
- Document all disaster recovery activities and report on the effectiveness of the plans, making continuous improvements as necessary.
- Provide guidance and support to stakeholders during and after the recovery process, ensuring business operations get back to normal as quickly as possible.
Candidate must have skills:
- Minimum 10+ years in Software development, DevOps and DevSecOps
- At least 2 years of working experience in either disaster recovery planning or executing DR drills/actual DR scenarios
- Knowledge of Infrastructure, Network, redundancy technologies like site recovery are a plus
- Healthcare knowledge is an added plus
- Must have familiarization (not expertise) with at least one of - HIPPAA, SOC2 and other regulations
- Must have knowledge of legacy applications (3-tier) and also modern API based and Micro-services-based apps.
