Classification: ExemptDepartment: 8960 Information TechnologyReports To: Director, IT Summary:This position is responsible for developing, creating, maintaining, and modifying computer applications and specialized programs within the Oracle eBusiness Suite and supporting applications. The Oracle Applications Developer analyzes and designs applications/programs, working individually and coordinating application development as part of a team to contribute to meeting the Company's mission of developing and marketing high-quality brands, and running best-in-class operations. Essential Functions:

  • Completes approved development project requests following the procedures documented for application changes. The procedures include requirements gathering, design, testing, implementation and support tasks.
  • Designs and develops technical solutions for Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) that meet business requirements and provides recommendations on the nature, scope, and complexity of solutions.
  • Verifies feasibility of business user's request functionality and business rules based on existing technical systems and data model.
  • Provides technical specifications/documentation, unit test plans and installation plans for new systems or enhancements.
  • Collaborates with Oracle support to resolve production issues within Oracle environments.
  • Coordinates with team members to work on solutions and performs design/code reviews.
  • Develops file and database structures, interfaces between internal and external systems.
  • Effectively trains business users on changes made through project requests.
  • Provides daytime and on-call support as required.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Required Competencies:

  • Must have strong knowledge of the software development process (analysis, design, coding, testing, packaging, maintenance).
  • Must have experience using SQL Databases and Queries.
  • Must have basic knowledge of programming languages (HTML, JavaScript, Python, etc.).
  • Must have knowledge of source code repository tools (GitHub, BitBucket, etc.).
  • Must have proficiency using Microsoft Office products.
  • Must have the ability to be self-directed and perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with business users.
Desired Competencies:
  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS ERP system (or other ERP systems used in a manufacturing environment).
  • Knowledge of creating/modifying SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions within an Oracle relational database structure.
  • Knowledge of creating/modifying processes to export and/or load data into or out of Oracle eBusiness Suite.
  • Knowledge of creating/modifying Oracle Analytics Cloud dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Knowledge of Oracle eBusiness applications (EBS) used in a manufacturing environment and how to administer them.
  • Knowledge of creating/modifying Oracle XML/RDF report types.
  • Knowledge of creating/modifying processes to export and/or load data into or out of Oracle Analytics Cloud with Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse.
  • Knowledge of creating/modifying Oracle APEX (Application Express) applications.
  • Knowledge of utilizing Oracle (or other) API's.
  • Knowledge of Linux OS / Shell Scripting.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite Products.
Required Education & Experience:
  • Must have the ability to maintain current knowledge, skills and/or certifications relevant to assigned job responsibilities.
  • 2 year degree in computer programming, computer science or similar degree program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience programming in an Object-Oriented Programming Language.
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing SQL.
Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Experience working with an ERP system, preferably Oracle eBusiness Suite.
