Job Details- Entry level Surgical Technologist position assisting surgical team during procedures.
- Preoperative duties include patient identification, assisting transport and positioning, preparing supplies and equipment, performing surgical scrub and sterile technique, instrument and sponge counts, draping patient, and participating in surgical site verification.
- Intraoperative duties include preparing instrumentation, passing medications and instruments, maintaining sterile technique, performing counts, preparing dressings, handling specimens, cleaning instruments, and participating in quality improvement.
- Additional duties include assisting with surgical suite turnover cleaning, patient monitoring, maintaining normothermia, record keeping, and patient transport to post anesthesia care unit.
- Demonstrates clinical knowledge and skill across all patient age groups from newborn to geriatric.
Job Requirements- Endovascular/Open heart experience required.
- Strong working knowledge of aseptic technique.
- Demonstrate knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during operative procedures.
- Maintain high level of surgical conscience and professional behavior.
- Understanding and application of principles of surgical technology and legal, ethical, and moral responsibilities to patients and team members.
Additional Details- Endovascular/Open heart experience required.
