Job Description & RequirementsRequired Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH & KY License• Years of Experience: 2+• Float Requirements: Yes - Any other PCU or Med Surg
Equipment: BiPAPS, High flow, and telemetry monitoring, occasional Cardiac Drips• EMR: Cerner - PreferredHiring Profile:• Must Have Skills/Experience: Proficient in cardiac monitoring, IV therapy (including PICC line management, dressing changes), IV medications (administration of antibiotics, drips including heparin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, cardizem) & Tracheostomy Management, Intermediate/step down experience• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Proficient with BiPAPs and high flow and Proficient with chest tubes, Pulmonary disease management• Type of Patients on Unit: Mix• Personality Fit: Positive attitude, flexibility with changes on the unit (patient assignments/floated to another unit), and excellent critical thinking in stressful situations. Also, a good sense of humor, it can provide a sense of stress relief amongst your fellow team members and can also remind patients and families that nurses are people too and help to build trust.
