Location (city, state): Springfield, VA (Hybrid)

Pay: $17 - $20 / hour (depending on experience)

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

Job Description:

The Data Entry Assistant is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining information in company databases and systems. This role supports various departments by ensuring data integrity, performing regular audits, and handling clerical tasks related to data processing. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong keyboarding skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter data into internal databases, spreadsheets, and systems with speed and accuracy.
  • Verify data for accuracy and completeness before entry.
  • Review and correct any errors or inconsistencies in the data.
  • Maintain updated records of customer, vendor, or inventory information.
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems.
  • Assist with generating reports and retrieving data as requested.
  • Follow company data entry policies and confidentiality protocols.
  • Support administrative tasks such as scanning, photocopying, and document sorting as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2+ years of data entry experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly polished, organized, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree is a plus.
