SummaryRole Overview:

Alameda Health System is hiring! The Manager for Centering Operations is responsible for oversight of procedures and workflows required for standardization and provision of Centering group care throughout the organization. This role oversees the integration of Centering Pregnancy & Parenting into the department culture and standard work of the clinic and supervises Centering Program support staff. The manager collaborates with Centering clinical leadership to support model fidelity, training, program structure, operations, growth, and sustainability. This is a grant-funded position with funds covering approximately 15 months. The candidate will be on-site and non-benefited.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide operational support for all aspects of Centering program needs and quality improvement.
  • Supervise staff, manage performance, provide ongoing feedback, address issues, train employees, verify competency, and support skill development. Monitor workflow and ensure staff training for high-quality facilitation.
  • Interface with Centering Healthcare Institute (CHI) and/or CHI Advisor to maintain model fidelity, site licensure, and obtain assistance or support.
  • Collaborate with Beloved Birth leadership to create and update policies and procedures for wrap-around support services (nutrition, fitness, lactation, etc.) and interface with Alameda County Public Health Department, community partners, and Beloved Birth Collective.
  • Lead the evolution of the Centering program, including strategic planning, sustainability, growth, development of support services, and community partnerships, in collaboration with clinical leadership.
  • Represent the Centering Program in community-facing areas, including meetings, advocacy, events, and promotion.
  • Coordinate onboarding for new staff, facilitators, clinic staff, students, guest facilitators, and volunteers with the Centering Medical Director & Centering CHOW.
  • Organize basic facilitation trainings and ongoing education for facilitation staff.
  • Develop and maintain a visible presence of Centering Pregnancy & Parenting within the organization.
  • Oversee grant procurement, management, and reporting.
  • Manage scheduling and reconciliation for all Centering groups.
  • Track inventory and distribute promotional materials and other items.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, along with necessary licenses or certifications, is qualifying.

    Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

    Required Experience: At least one year in a maternal-child health setting; experience facilitating Centering groups; experience in basic facilitation training.
