**What is the opportunity?**Participates in the loan management process by providing credit and loan underwriting expertise. Manages all aspects of credit relationships for clients, providing advisory services and ensuring thorough due diligence before credit approval. Oversees workflow and delegates team assignments.
**What will you do?**
Manage workflow and priorities, assign work to Credit Officers and Analysts based on experience and portfolio complexity.Provide guidance and review work of less experienced staff, assist with research, credit structuring, and financial analysis.Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding credit policies and procedures.Monitor performance, provide feedback, conduct performance appraisals, and coach staff.Develop team members through training and educational opportunities.Assist in departmental reporting and portfolio management, including evaluating credit requests and assessing creditworthiness.Attend client meetings to facilitate credit delivery and resolve issues.Provide credit guidance, collaborate on credit strategy, and ensure proper loan structuring.Manage financial analysis, credit memos, and loan restructuring.Monitor delinquencies, early problem loan identification, and perform quarterly financial reviews.Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations, and act in accordance with the bank's credit culture.**What do you need to succeed?**
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in underwriting medium to large-sized commercial credit.
- Experience in banking or financial services.
- Completion of credit training program.
Additional Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience analyzing financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and loan structuring.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong credit analysis skills and effective communication.
- Organizational skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
