Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a highly qualified Intellectual Property Associate or Patent Agent to join our Patent Group in either Atlanta, GA or Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in patent prosecution and counseling, including preparation of patent applications, responses to Office Actions, and patentability and clearance opinions. A degree in mechanical engineering or a related area is strongly preferred. Candidates should have excellent academic credentials and superb writing, oral communication, and interpersonal skills. Active admission to the Georgia or Pennsylvania Bar, respectively for Associate candidates, and registration with the USPTO are required.
