Position Summary
The Senior Manager Data Privacy and Governance manages the development and maintenance of ongoing domestic and international privacy-related initiatives across the organization. The individual in this position also assists in the management of compliance reporting requirements and participates in the development and maintenance of the auditing and monitoring process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher (or equivalent work experience)
- 4+ years of demonstrated experience with data privacy and/or security regulations, e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA
- 6+ years demonstrated work experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Ideal candidates will possess a strong technical aptitude and be able to effectively communicate with technology professionals; data analysis experience is a bonus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly developed analytical, problem recognition and resolution, project management, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven experience managing multiple high-priority projects and assignments simultaneously with minimal supervision
- Able to make consistent decisions and apply prior knowledge to new situations
- Passionate about digging into a problem and figuring it out
- Data privacy certification a plus
- Healthcare experience a plus
Essential Functions/Areas of Accountability
- Provide oversight and guidance on data privacy-related initiatives and serve as subject matter expert on domestic and international data privacy laws and regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, state-specific privacy regulations). Advise PCM's Legal department on data privacy matters. Serve as the primary training resource for data privacy topics.
- Understand the flow of information and how it is utilized to support the integrity of the Privacy compliance program.
- Draft and update policies and SOPs related to data privacy/security and oversee policy governance across the organization.
- Support vendor risk management as a member of the Vendor Risk Management Committee. Assist in regulatory reviews, data protection audits, and privacy reviews.
- Communicate with affected teams about new laws and regulations to ensure necessary policy and procedure updates.
- Prepare and respond to audits, compliance questions, or stakeholder requests from Senior Leadership and shareholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Information
The typical base pay range for this role is USD $99,800 - $157,400 per year. Individual base pay depends on various factors, including primary work location, role complexity, responsibilities, job requirements, and relevant experience, skills, and market factors.
