The SW QA Lead position is an individual contributor SW QA Engineer position with expanded responsibilities.

In your role as SW QA Lead at Kohler Ventures you will:

• Work directly with the Head of Software, software/hardware engineering team, and product teams.
• Build the forward-looking vision and lead the effort to ensure the entire development lifecycle takes a quality first approach.
• Help deploy and integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Establish testing patterns, best practices, and increase test coverage (in partnership with engineers).
• Conduct technical reviews for new features and identify quality concerns.
• Participate in various scrum meetings to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, estimates, or potential problems.

Skills/Requirements

• You hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Software QA Engineer, at least 3 years in mobile.
• Experience with functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with test automation tools/frameworks such as Appium, Espresso or XCUI.
• Experience validating iOS, Android, or embedded firmware for IoT devices.
• Ability to translate business requirements into test plans and develop test automation at all layers of the software stack.
• Minimal travel, both domestically and internationally, is needed.
• Availability to work outside of standard business hours to be able to collaborate with teams and vendors across multiple time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge in software and hardware/firmware and information security for cloud and IoT devices.

The approved base salary range for this position is $126,900 - $158,600. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may be higher than the approved range. This will vary depending on a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. This position is subject to Area Salary Differential (Cost of Living Adjustment) that ranges from 16% of base salary for the NYC metro area. The approved base salary range including ASD for this position is $147,204 - $183,976 depending on location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and a special project incentive. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision and 401k.
