Are you a strategic accounting leader ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to oversee the Accounting and Finance function for this new platform based in Chicago. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, ideal for someone passionate about driving operational excellence and scalable growth.

This role will be responsible for:

• Overseeing all accounting operations, including General Ledger, Cost Accounting, and financial reporting
• Leading and mentoring accounting staff, fostering a high-performing team environment
• Managing internal controls, banking reconciliations, and cash flow processes
• Preparing financial statements and board-level financial presentations
• Coordinating audits and serving as the key contact for internal and external auditors
• Managing sales and corporate tax processes in compliance with regulatory requirements

Expectations will include:

• Leading the implementation of process improvements and system automation initiatives
• Supporting strategic projects such as acquisitions, debt offerings, and regulatory filings
• Collaborating cross-functionally with FP&A, Treasury, and Investor Relations on financial analysis
• Maintaining strict confidentiality while handling sensitive financial information
• Prioritizing effectively to meet critical deadlines and business timelines

A qualified candidate will possess the following:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting and private industry
• Private equity and M&A experience a must.
• Deep expertise in US GAAP and financial consolidation/reporting, especially in service-based or financial services sectors
• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
• A demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex projects
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment

Compensation: Compensation will include a base salary and bonus and will be commensurate with skills and experience.
