Base pay range

$180,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

The position involves preparing detailed cost estimates, supporting bid strategies, and working closely with senior teams on high-impact projects.

This well-established heavy civil contractor is a leading player in New York's public infrastructure market, with active projects across transit, utilities, airports, and energy sectors. With decades of experience and strong client relationships, they are known for delivering complex public works projects for agencies such as the MTA, DOT, and Port Authority.

They are looking to hire a skillled Estimator - Heavy Civil Construction - Manhattan, NY to support their growing pipeline of public infrastructure and utility work. This role offers the opportunity to learn directly from senior estimators and work on meaningful projects that shape New York's infrastructure.

Description

Assist in evaluating project opportunities and developing bidding strategies

Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and accurate cost estimates

Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and material vendors

Attend pre-bid meetings and coordinate proposal submissions

Support senior staff in contract negotiations, change orders, and client presentations

Maintain and organize historical cost data to enhance future estimates

Profile

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

4+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in heavy civil or public works

• Open to Project Managers with Estimating experince

Knowledge of construction contracts and public procurement processes

Exposure to sectors such as utilities, bridges, transit, or energy a plus

Proficiency in HCSS HeavyBid preferred

Strong organizational and analytical skills

Job Offer

Base salary range: up to $200,000
