Position Overview
This role offers a salary range provided by Jacobs, with actual pay based on skills and experience. The position is hybrid, located in Richmond, Virginia Beach, Charleston, Charlotte, Raleigh, or Washington, DC, requiring an average of two days per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical review of ecological deliverables, species reviews, and permitting packages for local, state, and federal agencies.
- Serve as permitting lead on large, complex projects or new client engagements.
- Mentor staff and advise on permitting hires.
- Manage projects and develop procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Maintain high-quality client interactions and support business development efforts.
- Provide guidance on renewable energy projects, FERC services, and external projects.
- Travel approximately 20% to client offices and project sites.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of electric or gas transmission line permitting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, natural resources, environmental science, or related field.
- Experience in land use entitlement and FERC1000.
- Established relationships with key utility companies.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $109,100 - $165,000 annually. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), stock options, PTO, holidays, and performance bonuses.
