Global Investment Bank's US Broker Dealer in NY is seeking an experienced Market and Credit Risk professional to join their growing organization.

The Credit & Market Risk function exists to mitigate counterparty and institutional customer risk in the equity, options, and fixed income markets. Responsibilities include reviewing the firm's credit and risk exposure daily. Main duties encompass:
Assessing margin requirements and stress loss for Prime Brokerage and Portfolio Margin clientsMonitoring credit and market risk exposures across various business segments dailyProviding timely measurements of credit and market exposure to facilitate credit decisionsRecommending risk limits and ensuring monitoring processes are in placeReviewing business activities against pre-established boundaries and escalating concernsMonitoring macro market environment impacts on portfoliosMonitoring deposits at central clearing counterparties and assessing potential impacts of new transactionsInvestigating and reconciling client portfolios to mitigate riskEngaging with external counterparties and internal management regularlyContributing to risk framework development and policy updatesPerforming due diligence on new relationshipsMonitoring risk exposures and engaging proactively to prevent limit exceedancesQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- 5-7 years' experience in credit & risk, preferably in broker/dealer environments
- Experience managing risk related to portfolio margin and prime brokerage clients
- Strong knowledge of market and credit risks, financial products (Equity, Bonds, MBS, etc.)
- Understanding of risk management frameworks (VaR, stress testing, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Proficiency in Excel, Access, Bloomberg, SQL
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Base Salary Range: $145k - $185k
