Job Title: Associate Director of Tax

About the Company:

We are partnered with a well-established foreign bank hiring an Associate Tax Director. As part of their continued growth, we are looking to expand our tax team by hiring an experienced professional to focus on corporate tax compliance and related initiatives. The Associate Director of Tax will play a critical role in overseeing U.S. federal, state, and local corporate income tax compliance, tax provision, and regulatory reporting. This individual will serve as a key contributor to the tax team and collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, and external advisors to ensure compliance and support strategic business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and review federal, state, and local income tax returns and estimated tax payments
• Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions under ASC 740
• Support tax audits, respond to tax notices, and coordinate with tax authorities as needed
• Maintain compliance with FATCA, BEAT, and other applicable international tax requirements
• Assist with transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions
• Partner with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting
• Monitor legislative developments and assess their impact on the bank's U.S. operations
• Identify process improvements and implement best practices across tax reporting functions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's in Tax or CPA preferred
• 8+ years of relevant tax experience, ideally with a mix of Big Four and banking/financial services
• Strong understanding of U.S. federal and state corporate tax rules
• Solid experience with tax provision (ASC 740) and corporate compliance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
