Job Description

Data, Discovery, and Decision Science (D3) is the research and analytics organization at Allstate. Position Overview

As a Quantum Algorithms Lead, you will develop and evaluate quantum computing algorithms for potential applications in the insurance industry. Your work will involve problem curation, assessing benefits of scaled-up solutions based on experimental evidence, and collaborating with external industry and academic partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to review results and justify algorithmic solutions.
  • Develop and explore quantum computing algorithms.
  • Research and realize advances in quantum computing relevant areas.
  • Analyze algorithm performance through simulations and experiments on quantum hardware.
  • Evaluate the scalability and potential quantum advantage of algorithms.
  • Curate relevant problems with potential for quantum advantage in insurance.
  • Apply, adapt, and derive algorithms for curated problems.
Education and Experience
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of professional experience preferred.
Additional Details
  • This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.
  • Equivalent education and experience may be considered.

Compensation: $141,800 - $219,200 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
