Bequest Asset Management is a boutique private asset management firm headquartered in Sarasota, FL. We specialize in delivering income-oriented investment strategies to accredited & non accredited investors across the U.S. Our mission is to provide consistent high yielding returns for Main Street investors such that they can confidently and easily generate financial freedom.

We are currently scaling our operations and consistently raising capital to help fuel our assets under management within real estate and energy. We have over 200 current investors that continue to grow daily. We're looking for a skilled Investor Relations Manager to help us deepen investor relationships and accelerate our capital raise efforts.

We are currently seeking a dynamic CFO professional to perform and review daily reporting functions for multiple private equity real estate funds. The successful candidate will interface with many constituencies including our fund limited partners, internal asset/portfolio management, internal acquisitions, and other internal accounting disciplines. The individual will need to demonstrate leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills. This position requires relevant fund accounting experience, with a focus on GAAP for investment companies.

*This is NOT a remote position. It is onsite Monday through Friday

This position reports to our Managing Partner.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Capital calls and distributions

• Accurate general ledger and accounting for investment funds

• Financial statement consolidations

• Financial statements prepared on a GAAP basis for investment companies (with footnotes)

• Profit & loss allocations

• Financial highlights and ratios

• Preparation and review of journal entries

• Preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial reports

• Coordination and communication with banks, legal counsel, and limited partners

• Processing and review of wire transfers

• Completion/Review of bank and Balance Sheet reconciliations

• Preparation of audit schedules and coordination with Fund auditors

• Actively monitor & adhere to multiple reporting requirements across multiple fund vehicles

• Ad-hoc reporting to limited partners/internal departments

• Processing and review of subscription line borrowings and paydowns, inclusive of compliance

• Maintenance of fund-level reporting dashboards

• Calculation and review of investor NAV's

• Perform a detailed review of investors' capital accounts

• Interfacing with other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including AML, OFAC, etc.

• Continue overseeing new fund opportunities, new fund structures

• Potentially creating an offshore structure

• Joint Venture financial operations implementation

• Coordination and completing transfer of net asset valuation of all fund entities to Formidium,

• Exception is BEFV.

• Reg A and Reg CF and all regulatory filings

• Revise PPMs and Sub Docs

• Coordinate financials with Celestial Mining & Management

• Launch Bentaus TX new hosting agreements and locations

Qualifications and Experience

• 3+ years of private equity fund accounting experience (experience with high net-worth investors is a plus)

• Public accounting experience with a concentration on investment companies preferred (“big-four” / national firm a plus)

• Yardi experience preferred (Voyager, Investment Management Module, Investment Manager Suite)

• Experience working in investment management software, AppFolio experience preferred

• Investment management software implementation and/or integration experience a plus

Education and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance

• Keen attention to detail and the ability to self-review work

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects

• Advanced Excel skills including building models to support accounting records and conclusions

• Strong analytical skills, with a focus on detail and the ability to deliver an organized work-product • Good communication skills and the ability to maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, limited partners, auditors, legal counsel, and banking personnel
