What You'll Do

As a Senior Director, you'll be in a senior-level leadership position responsible for executing the division's strategic plan and guiding your team to meet the Bank's growth and customer retention targets. You'll lead a team of Commercial Bankers, Business Development Officers, and Portfolio Management staff to expand market share, grow the portfolio, and deepen customer relationships. Your responsibilities include leading the growth and development of the team's portfolio within the Private Banking segment, part of the Regional Banking business line. While much of your time will be spent working with your network and top-tier customers, you'll also support your team in credit structuring, portfolio health management, and responding to market dynamics.

• Support regional and national leadership in executing the Bank's strategic plan, focusing on growing the loan and deposit portfolios of your assigned region or business line. Success is measured by your team's achievement of sales objectives, portfolio health, and market management.
• Implement tactical strategies related to transaction pitches and term sheet negotiations. Guide credit structuring, customer assessment, and presentations to loan committees.
• Manage portfolio health proactively, addressing deteriorating loan performance, market risks, service issues, and product adoption.
• Build strong relationships with senior leaders across departments (Credit, Risk, Loan Administration, etc.) and ensure team compliance with processes, risk mitigation, and customer service standards.
• Lead and develop your team through hiring, coaching, performance management, and training.

What You'll Need

• 9+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Leadership experience
• Expertise in banking operations, including deposits, loans, treasury management, and other banking products
• Knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance
• Advanced understanding of commercial credit and market awareness
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 50%

Salary range for new hires in New York, NY is generally $191,000 - $239,564, with potential bonuses and stock options.
