Job Description

We have one position focused on Automation, available at Lead or Expert level based on qualifications and interview outcomes. This is a fully remote role within the US.

The Cyber Recovery Infrastructure Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) manages and operates the Allstate Cyber Recovery Environment, supporting critical business functions during system outages. Responsibilities include system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of automation technologies related to Cyber Attack Resiliency.

The SRE (Automation focus) collaborates with other SREs and infrastructure engineers to support and manage the Cyber Recovery Environment, including testing restoration capabilities.

Accountabilities

• Build and maintain relationships within the team and across the organization, fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and open communication.
• Define and execute platform strategies aligned with enterprise goals.
• Collaborate with decision-makers to develop cost-effective technology solutions.
• Drive improvements in the Cyber Recovery Environment, including automation and recovery services.
• Influence stakeholders to meet cyber resiliency objectives.
• Partner across departments to set expectations and strengthen relationships.
• Adapt communication for diverse audiences.

QualificationsEducation

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Required Experience

• 3+ years developing automation for compute and network infrastructure.
• Experience in geographically dispersed teams.
• Knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure including network, security, storage, and compute.

Preferred Experience

• Cyber Resiliency and Recovery support experience.
• Automation, orchestration, API troubleshooting, and testing skills.
• GitHub repository management experience.
• Experience with on-premises and cloud technologies, especially Azure and AWS.
• Understanding of network switching, routing, security, virtualization, and IaaS automation.
• Proficiency with PowerShell, Shell scripting, Ansible, Jenkins, Python; experience with Ansible collections is a plus.

Salary Range: $92,560 - $166,465 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
