$175,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

Attorney/Counsel (New York, NY): Our client, an alternative investment management firm that pursues macro investment strategies in multiple global markets, is seeking a proactive and motivated attorney to join their legal team. This position will report directly to the General Counsel.

Key points:

• Opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of legal work – formation, transactions, regulatory, agreements and litigation work
• Position reports directly to the General Counsel
• Opportunity for someone young in their career to gain work directly for a seasoned General Counsel
• The firm is growing and adding this position due to their continued growth

Responsibilities:

• Draft and review legal documentation and agreements
• Create documents related funds and the fund formation process
• Create new products in collaboration with outside business development and counsel teams
• Assist and advise other teams within the firm
• Review marketing materials and investor correspondence for the client relations team
• Stay up to date on regulatory trends and ensure the firm's policies are current
• Oversee correspondence for trading diligence requests
• Aid Human Resources in employment policy matters

Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school and 3+ years of relevant law firm or in-house experience
• Knowledge and experience with the fund formation process is helpful
• Proactive, motivated, self-driven individual that is willing to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to remain organized and positive in a fast-paced environment
