Art Basel is seeking a highly reliable, dynamic, and proactive person to join the Marketing Team in Art Basel's New York office as a:

Social Media Manager

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Global Social Media Manager on developing content and creative across platforms (Facebook/Instagram/Threads/LinkedIn/TikTok)
• Liaise with the Partnerships team to plan and deliver partnership social contracts, ensuring partner goals are met while staying true to the Art Basel social voice and brand
• Draft clear, concise, and creative social media copy
• Create both photo- and video-based social content
• Collaborate on executing live social media marketing campaigns in connection with our global shows, including traveling on-site
• Monitor audience conversations and conduct community engagement across all platforms
• Track data and stay on top of social media trends to help inform social platform strategy
• Produce detailed social media reports, including for sponsors
• Perform administrative tasks ranging from maintaining key internal tools and documents to asset management

Profile:

• At least 5 years of experience crafting and managing social media either for a brand or in an agency setting
• Keenly aware of the intricacies of social media platforms and the algorithms that govern them, and have experience optimizing content across channels
• Regularly produce original content and are skilled at crafting a narrative with original photo/video assets
• Can-do attitude, flexible, and able to deliver under short time frames
• English-speaking native/fluent, highly capable of writing effective, entertaining copy for social media content across channels
• Meticulously detail-oriented
• Experience with third-party social media reporting and scheduling software (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.)
• Experience in filming and editing natively via iPhone is strongly preferred
• Thrive in a collaborative environment and have experience developing processes for cross-team collaboration
• Have a passion for art and regularly engage with the art world in person and online; an art-related degree is a plus
• Knowledge of paid social and Meta advertising, a plus
• Bachelor required (Arts-related, Marketing/Communications, or other comparable field preferable)
