Job Title: Head of Compensation

We are seeking an accomplished Head of Compensation to join our People team, reporting to the Head of Total Rewards. This role involves creating competitive compensation programs aligned with our strategic goals to enhance talent attraction, engagement, retention, and satisfaction.

Location: Our hybrid model includes 3 days in the office and 2 days remote weekly, based in either New York, NY, or Chevy Chase, MD.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team supporting leaders across various business lines, operations, and functions, including technology, AI, and data.
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year compensation roadmap, adjusting priorities as needed.
  • Serve as an escalation point for compensation issues, aligning expectations with senior leaders.
  • Consult on job architecture, market pricing, and compensation cycles.
  • Develop and oversee base pay programs, pay structures, and progression policies.
  • Design and manage executive compensation programs aligned with company goals and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and the board to develop compensation strategies for top executives.
  • Lead meetings with C-suite executives, preparing materials and influencing outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of belonging and collaboration within the compensation team.
  • Support data analysis and modeling to inform compensation decisions.
  • Manage external vendors and lead communication and change management initiatives related to compensation.
  • Partner with HRIS, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure compliance and streamline processes.
  • Lead enterprise-wide compensation projects and stay informed on industry trends.
  • Qualifications:
    • 15+ years in compensation, with at least 10 years in senior leadership roles.
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in related fields preferred.
    • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
    • Expertise in broad-based, executive, and sales compensation.
    • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and client-facing skills.
    • Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Workday, and advanced Excel skills.

    Salary:

    $195,000.00 - $315,000.00 annually. Final salary depends on various factors including experience, education, location, and market conditions.
