Position Summary

The Lead Senior Business Analyst will serve as the strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving the successful delivery of complex initiatives. This role combines hands-on analysis with team leadership, ensuring that business requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and executed across multiple workstreams.

You will lead a team of Business Analysts, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, and external partners to deliver high-impact solutions. This position is ideal for someone with deep analytical expertise, strong leadership instincts, and a passion for operational excellence.

Lead Technical Business Analyst (Hybrid – NYC)

We are seeking a Lead Technical Business Analyst who combines deep technical acumen with strong leadership and delivery skills. This is a hands-on role where you will lead by example—managing and mentoring other BAs while actively contributing to high-impact projects across internal systems, external integrations, and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Business Analysts, including performance reviews and skill development.
• Actively contribute to projects as a hands-on BA, from discovery through delivery.
• Define and continuously improve BA processes, templates, and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
• Review and refine Epics, Stories, and Acceptance Criteria created by other BAs.
• Conduct data analysis using SQL, Excel, Snowflake, and Tableau to support decision-making and solution design.
• Facilitate wireframing and prototyping sessions to align stakeholders and technical teams.
• Identify and communicate delivery risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
• Champion clear, concise communication and help the team “separate the forest from the trees.”

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong technical background with the ability to read and write Python and SQL.
• Experience working in AWS-based platforms with APIs and microservices.
• Proven experience in B2B Payments or similar transaction-heavy environments.
• Proficient in Jira, Confluence, and tools like Figma, Miro, or Lucidchart.
• Skilled in data analysis and visualization using Snowflake, Excel, and Tableau.
• Exceptional documentation skills, including process flows, Epics, and User Stories.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in defining and scaling BA practices in a growing organization.
• Familiarity with API documentation and integration workflows.
• Exposure to regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare).
• Additional certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP, CSPO) are a plus.
• Hybrid role based in New York City.
