Overview:

A high-performing, global investment firm known for its strong growth trajectory and commitment to excellence in financial reporting. They're looking to hire a Senior Manager to lead SEC reporting and accounting advisory initiatives as the firm continues to scale.

This is a hands-on, visible role within a lean but dynamic team, ideal for someone with a strong technical accounting foundation and experience preparing and reviewing public company filings.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical research on complex accounting issues (e.g., revenue recognition, business combinations, lease accounting, stock compensation).
  • Document technical accounting conclusions for significant transactions and new/amended products.
  • Review accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and controllership teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain and update accounting policies, procedures, and operational manuals.
  • Monitor and interpret US GAAP, SEC standards, and industry regulations.
  • Assist with special projects, including M&A transactions and process improvements.
  • Support SOX compliance and internal control processes.
  • Liaise with external auditors for SEC reporting and annual audits.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years in Big 4 Accounting Advisory or a combination of Big 4 and progressive Accounting Policy experience in a public company.
  • Expertise in revenue recognition, share-based compensation, consolidation, leases, and foreign currency transactions.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, SEC reporting, SOX requirements.
  • Experience in asset management or financial services organizations.
  • Active CPA license required.
