Position Summary

The Strategic Partnerships Group is seeking a Senior Manager to support New Business Development and Strategy for Samsung's cross-platform service business. This role involves identifying and executing strategic partnerships that drive revenue, enable new products and services, and enhance the experience across Samsung's device ecosystem. The candidate will define Samsung's cross-device partnership strategy and product roadmap, leading major initiatives within the company. The ideal candidate should quickly develop expertise and a point of view on new industries, technologies, and partnership opportunities, and be able to advocate for and build consensus around their recommendations among executives and key stakeholders.

The candidate should be comfortable negotiating contracts and collaborating on product strategy, with experience leading complex, high-impact projects with cross-functional teams. Experience working at the intersection of advertising, gaming, tech, and media, along with a strong understanding of the Mobile and TV landscape, including key services, distribution channels, and business models, is required.

Excellent communication skills, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to navigate and embrace complexity are essential.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Source, define, and execute first-of-their-kind TV & Mobile partnership opportunities for Samsung's service business.
  • Evaluate new opportunities, provide strategic direction, and secure buy-in from internal and external executives.
  • Define non-standard deal structures and negotiate large, multifaceted agreements.
  • Build and deploy implementation plans to ensure project success.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, marketing, operations), acting as the point on all aspects of partnership strategy and execution.
  • Grow existing strategic partnerships and identify new collaboration and revenue opportunities with high-value partners.
  • Inform long-term service strategy and product roadmap.
  • Work with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Business Development groups across Samsung to develop new businesses, products, and features leveraging Samsung's ecosystem of devices.
  • Skills and Qualifications
  • 8-10 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree; MBA or JD preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple complex projects.
  • Experience leading senior-level negotiations and presenting to C-level leadership.
  • Ability to interpret detailed product development documents and contracts.
  • Ability to formulate and defend opinions on market and competitive directions and their impact on company strategy.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships, influence stakeholders, and set new business directions.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with extensive experience in negotiating complex, multi-layered contracts.
  • Self-motivated with a strong operational mindset and a decisive, 'get it done' attitude.
  • Compensation for candidates based in New York City, NY, is expected to be between $160,000 and $200,000, determined by skills, experience, and internal comparisons.
