Our client is the Commercial Real Estate Finance group within the investment bank of a premier European-based global financial services institution located in New York City. Their real estate group is consistently ranked among the top-10 global and US real estate lenders, and they are continually expanding their platform and into new product areas.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an AVP to support a leading originator and their team in screening, sizing, structuring, underwriting, and documentation of potential CMBS Conduit CRE loan opportunities. You will be responsible for completing full loan due diligence and assisting with Asset Summary Reports required for securitization. This role offers exposure to the full spectrum of conduit loan originations, pricing, capital markets, and other activities in commercial real estate lending and securitization.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide analytical support in the screening, sizing, structuring, underwriting, and closing of commercial real estate loans
• Work closely with senior underwriters in preparing credit committee reports, including cash flow, risks, borrower/sponsor, and market analysis
• Perform site inspections, determine market comparables for property valuation and asset summaries, and complete tenant analyses
• Review third-party reports, property leases, and financial statements during due diligence
• Assist with loan closings and procure necessary closing items

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• 4+ years' experience in CMBS loan underwriting or similar
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Strong financial modeling and Excel skills
• Valid driver's license

The annual full-time base salary range for this role is $125,000 - $175,000. Compensation is determined through interviews, education, experience, and other relevant factors. Some positions may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and full-time employees are eligible for benefits including PTO, holidays, medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and 401K.
