JOB TITLE: Senior Manager, Logistics

LOCATION: Remote - candidates based in the following states will be considered: IN, MA, NC, NH, NM, NY, PA, SC, SD, TX, KY or WA.

SALARY RANGE: $132,000 to $149,000. The midpoint of the range is $143,000. The ideal candidate would be hired at or around the midpoint.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Senior Manager, Logistics will be a key member of Aurion's Supply Chain Team, responsible for scaling up, maintaining, and supporting the Logistics Team. This person will be critical in clinical trial execution, commercial scale ramp up, process improvement, and team management. They will manage a small team of cell therapy logistics professionals who perform various shipments throughout the organization and drive process improvements to streamline operations. They will also be expected to maintain a high standard of operations and trade compliance and always follow GxP guidelines.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operations Oversight: Maintain a high standard of service for internal and external partners when it comes to shipping
  • Supplier Management: Is the primary point of contact between Aurion and logistics suppliers (packaging, couriers, etc.)
  • Process Improvement: Actively seek out cost- and time-saving opportunities, drives digital platform establishment and implementation
  • Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with industry standards and GMP practices where applicable
  • Team Building: Manage, build, and develop a team of logistics professionals of various experience levels. Draft staffing plans for future expansion
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, life sciences or related field
  • 5 years or more experience in logistics, transportation management, patient operations, or related field, ideally in cell therapy or pharmaceuticals
  • Experience managing a team of logistics professionals

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Proven experience working with multiple parties to complete tasks, including managing competing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, DocuSign, and Smartsheet
  • Experience writing processes for transportation management
  • Experience implementing a digital platform into an existing process
  • Experience working in eye banking and/or a commercial setting is a plus
