Job Title: Product Operations Director

Job Summary

Candescent seeks a strategic Product Operations Director to support the CPO. This role will drive operational excellence, strategic planning, and cross-functional alignment in a high-growth, tech-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have global experience, strong financial acumen, and deep expertise in technology product organizations.

Role

As a key partner to the CPO, this role will oversee business operations, manage dependencies with other functions (Marketing, Sales, Operations, Pricing, Finance), lead strategic initiatives, create communications (e.g., townhalls, key meetings), and provide data-driven insights for executive decisions. This requires business acumen, operational rigor, and leadership presence to navigate complex challenges and deliver impactful outcomes. You are suitable if:

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Business Operations

  • Partner with the CPO and leadership to define and execute global strategies.
  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and financial models to track performance.
  • Lead reviews, planning cycles, and budgeting aligned with company goals.

Operational Excellence & Execution

  • Improve organizational efficiency through process improvements and automation.
  • Develop operational cadence for leadership meetings and strategy sessions.
  • Lead projects driving innovation, revenue, and competitive advantage.

Financial Strategy & Resource Management

  • Oversee financial analysis ensuring investments align with goals.
  • Work with finance and strategy teams on budgets, forecasts, and ROI assessment.
  • Support pricing, cost modeling, and revenue strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as liaison across departments, ensuring communication and alignment.
  • Facilitate executive reporting and insights to support decisions.
  • Represent the CPO externally, ensuring organizational clarity and cohesion.

Culture & Talent Development

  • Partner with HR to drive organizational development and leadership growth.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within teams.

Must-Have Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years in strategy, finance, operations, or product within a tech organization.
  • Global experience leading or supporting teams across regions.
  • Strong financial background with expertise in budgeting, modeling, and analytics.
  • Deep understanding of product development, engineering, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Proven ability to execute complex projects and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in SaaS, enterprise software, or high-growth tech companies.
  • MBA or advanced degree in related fields.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Lean, and modern product methodologies.
