As the Division Controller, you will be responsible for directing, coordinating, maintaining, and controlling accounting and financial reporting for a respective area. Monitoring corporate policies and procedures and recommending improvements to corporate and Divisional management, acts as a liaison between shared service and Divisional functions, participates in establishing and implementing major goals and objectives, and serves as a resource in all aspects of accounting. Oversees Divisional budget process, strategic planning, standards development, capital projects, and fixed asset management.

What you'll be doing:

Coordinate and prepare annual divisional operating plan, including intake/sales, cost of goods sold, operating expenses, inventory, staffing, cost reduction opportunities, and capital spending. Ensure timely completion with respect to corporate budget schedule.

Coordinate and participate in preparation of multi-year divisional strategic plans. Assist Divisional management in development of short and long-term goals and objectives for the division.

Support corporate month end close process and play key role in monthly financial analysis for the division.

Develop monthly financial packet within established corporate guidelines and cutoffs.

Develop and post appropriate journal entries as required.

Process monthly divisional allocations as required.

Prepare financial analysis as requested by Divisional management. Play key role in managing the Division to ensure sound business decisions. This includes analysis with respect to all capital requests, regional manufacturing analysis, staffing requirements, pricing decisions, and any other analysis as appropriate. Conduct cost analysis, ratio and trend analysis, and other comparative analysis as required.

Direct management of Divisional finance staff. Develop succession planning for the Divisional Finance department. Ensure staff is continuously trained in Finance, Accounting, and Management disciplines.

Conduct performance reviews as required. Provide measurable feedback to finance staff and suggest improvement for performance. Develop and maintain position descriptions for staff.

Act as liaison between Divisional management and centralized Shared Service functions as appropriate.

Provide monthly reporting, monitoring, and analysis of all inventories and inventory reserves including obsolete inventories, along with labor and overhead applied to inventory.

Review labor reporting requirements and all variance analysis for the Division.

Assist in the development of Divisional capital project requests. Prepare financial analysis and project requests as required according to corporate guidelines. Prepare and oversee post audit process for the division.

Monitor and assist in development of Divisional KPI's.

Maintain strong internal controls for the Division to safeguard company assets. Continuously monitor adherence to internal controls to insure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

Make recommendations to Divisional management for business process changes as appropriate.

Develop appropriate action plans to insure internal controls are being followed. Coordinate and/or develop training for Divisional personnel with respect to internal controls as required. Conduct other meetings to insure company personnel are well informed of changes to corporate policies and procedures.

Assist in outside audit as required including coordination of inventory test counts, valuation and explanation of inventory audits, and determination of E&O inventory reserve.

Define resource requirements for the Division and take appropriate steps to incorporate resource requirements into the annual budget process.

Supports development of financial information systems, both at corporate and Divisional level, including financial statement development, HR/payroll, expense management, etc.. Develop disciplines and processes to update information systems as required at the Divisional level.

Provide product cost analysis to Divisional personnel as requested. Support divisional personnel on new and redesigned product analysis to insure proper introduction of new products to market.

Provide support for new business development including acquisitions and new plant/product line startups.

What you should have:

4 Year / Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field of study required.

8-10 years of relevant work experience in operations finance, manufacturing knowledge and experience required.

8-10 years of relevant work experience in a supervisory or a managerial role required.

Professional certification (CPA, CMA) and/or an MBA are a plus.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Greenheck Group takes pride in providing competitive total compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package as part of our total rewards program. The compensation for this role includes base salary along with the opportunity to earn additional variable compensation based on achieving specific performance metrics. The starting base pay range for this position is $136,169-$168,209 and may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
