The OpportunityThis position is a remote opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we're committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels.As a Commercial Field Operations Manager, MO-DME, you will be responsible for supporting the following key customer types: Mail Order, DME distributors, HME/DME dealers, and managed care customers along with developing and implementing internal DME market strategy. The position includes developing new business in defined national/regional accounts, as well as growing existing customer base. It includes determining ADC and customer needs, developing account specific strategies, and implementing training and in-service program content to support sales functions. This is a highly visible national field operations manager position. It entails representing Abbott Diabetes Care's consumer products, including Abbott's revolutionary FreeStyle Libre Continuous Glucose Monitoring System, to strategic national and regional mail order distribution partners. This position will focus on developing strategies for current and future products, including distribution, partnerships and IT solutions. This is a remote opportunity.What You'll Do
  • Inform existing category and future product launches to enable mail-order pharmacy and medical benefit business in the DME channel.
  • Ensure product availability nationwide through a network of providers by developing and nurturing customer partnerships
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify strategic partnerships, develop contracts and forecast demand and effectively utilize a broad range of financial and quantitative data and analysis
  • Develop strategic roadmap for HCP, Patient and DME experience for pharmacy and medical benefit adjudication Selling, including cross divisional initiatives and contract development
  • Assess business impact of contracting opportunities to include overall profitability and impact on sales and margin
  • Account leadership providing product training for key account contacts in support of distributor's field and inside/outside salesforce activities
  • Ensure optimal contract value and efficient implementations/training Account Management/Customer Care Leadership and self-development. Effectively manage assigned budget while maximizing return on investment
Accountability/Scope/Budget
  • This position will be responsible for developing a go-to-market strategy for future product launches within the Mail/DME channel and supporting existing products in market.
  • Other accountabilities include budgeting, customer VIP trips to key locations, semiannual business reviews, accurate forecasting, preparation of customer business plans, and new product distribution.
RequiredEXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING –
  • Four-year bachelor's degree required in business administration or life sciences (including but not limited to biology, physiology, nutrition, and/or clinical chemistry) required. Master's degree a plus. Business background will aid in determining profitability of account specific strategies and relating to customer business issues. Life sciences background will be helpful due to technical nature of products
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Marketing/Strategy/Sales. Must be able to communicate effectively with commercial management and cross-divisional teams as well as manage complex internal and external projects.
