Our Client, a Retail Pharmacy company, is looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer - AI: Infrastructure for their Deerfield, IL location.
Responsibilities:
- Develop software that processes, stores, and serves data and machine learning models for use by others.
- Create large-scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data to generate insights and intelligence supporting business needs.
- Design and implement ETL/ELT processes, data stores, and tools for real-time and offline analytics on-premise or cloud infrastructure.
- Maintain scalable, repeatable, and secure data pipelines into the ML and analytics platform, including data flow design, procedures, and scheduling.
- Troubleshoot software and processes to ensure data consistency and integrity, integrating data from diverse sources while maintaining quality standards.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential problems.
- Collaborate with internal and external peers and managers to exchange complex information related to your expertise.
- Work with AI/ML scientists and data scientists to prepare data for modeling and deploy models to production.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience in machine learning, software engineering, or data engineering.
- Deep knowledge of SQL and significant programming experience in Python, C, C++, Spark, Scala, or Java.
- Experience establishing relationships within a matrix organization with internal teams and external partners.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex business issues, and to present findings effectively across organizational levels.
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions and leading or collaborating within cross-functional teams.
- Graduate degree in a technical discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience with monitoring and alerting systems for cloud applications, including log analysis tools like ELK stack or Splunk.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deploying ML models at scale, using tools like Kubeflow or Seldon.
- Proficiency in CI/CD practices, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and workflow orchestration systems like Airflow or Prefect.
- Experience with ML registries (e.g., MLFlow), batch and streaming data systems, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Proficient in Python application development, REST API development, and Kubernetes in multi-tenant environments.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in relevant fields.
