**UPMC Family Hospice is hiring a Hospice Aide for a Full-Time position at the Family Hospice Inpatient Unit****36 Hours 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights**Provide designated care under the direction of the primary service provider in the hospice inpatient unit (IPU) to achieve identified goals of patient care.**Responsibilities:**+ Participate in all required agency meetings.+ Identify, develop, and participate in process improvement opportunities within the home health agency that will enhance the quality of services we provide.+ Communicate appropriately with the interdisciplinary IPU care team promptly, reporting any changes in the patient's condition to appropriate professional staff.+ Provide safe and direct personal care to patients in the IPU setting under the direct supervision of an appropriate professional+ Fulfill agency responsibilities by completing all required forms accurately and promptly.High School Diploma or GED - RequiredMust have completed a training and competency evaluation program as specified in Home Health and/or Hospice as applicable: Condition of participation: Home Health aide services.One (1) year of experienceCertified Nurse Aide PreferredMust maintain annual competency evaluation scores as determined by regulatory requirements.**Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**Required: CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)+ Act 33+ Act 34+ OAPSA**UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran**
