Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking digital verification engineers to support our development of secure tactical communication products. The candidate will primarily function in an FPGA verification role, working in a team environment to verify and test embedded FPGA firmware for radio communication systems. Successful candidates must have familiarity with coverage-driven verification methodology from planning through closure, knowledge of industry standard interfaces, and the ability to analyze requirements, create test plans, write tests in SystemVerilog within a UVM framework, and verify design requirements. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to verify FPGA designs for radio product development projects.

Essential Functions:
  • Perform FPGA design verification and validation of embedded electronic communication
  • Assist in developing high-level and detailed verification test plans based on system requirements
  • Develop self-checking test benches for FPGA verification using SystemVerilog
  • Create Agents, Test sequences, Covergroups, Predictors, and Scoreboards
  • Develop randomized and directed tests to achieve functional coverage and provide feedback to the team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and verify product and design requirements
  • Prepare design and implementation reviews and present technical briefings
  • Ability to obtain US Secret Security Clearance
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or Graduate Degree with at least 4 years, or 10 years of relevant experience without a degree
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Ability to analyze and debug FPGA firmware and hardware issues
  • Knowledge of Ethernet standards and packet processing design experience
  • Experience with cryptographic algorithms and solutions
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics Verification tools
  • RTL Design experience for FPGA/ASIC
  • Proficiency in C++, JAVA, and SystemVerilog for verification
  • Knowledge of UVM/OVM methodology
  • Experience with functional verification tools and scripting languages
  • Familiarity with Linux OS and industry interfaces like Ethernet, AXI, SPI
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Motivated, self-starter, team-oriented

Salary range in NY State: $89,000-$165,000. Benefits include health and disability insurance, 401(k), flexible spending, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Final salary depends on experience and location.
