Job Description :

Responsible for the investigation, evaluation, and, if necessary, remediation at Bosch locations, ensuring compliance with legality and preventing hazards to the environment, employees, and third parties.

Responsible for the Post-Merger-Integration of acquired sites, advising on technical measures such as investigations and remediation, managing internal cost tracking, and coordinating with insurances and sellers to ensure cost coverage per existing insurance policies and legal agreements.

The focus will be on environmental compliance, including soil and groundwater impacts and hazardous building materials.

Instructs technical staff at site level, documents investigation and remediation measures, and initiates further actions.

Has a professional understanding of US and Canada soil and groundwater protection regulations, laws, and the legal framework in the environmental sector.

Coordinates with lead experts in Germany to establish framework agreements with environmental consultants (e.g., AECOM, WSP, Woodard & Curran, and Tetra Tech) and defines technical standards, work, and documentation templates.

Qualifications

Basic:

  • Degree (BSc or MSc) in environmental engineering, geology, chemical engineering, or civil engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in investigation and remediation of contaminated sites, due diligence, demolition, and property transactions, with experience in preparing presentation documents, guidelines, directives, and cost estimates, demonstrating cost awareness and technical understanding.

Preferred:

  • High resilience and flexibility, confident with stakeholders including authorities and experts.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, with analytical and innovative approaches to investigation and remediation technologies.
  • Leadership skills to effectively lead teams and external consultants.
  • Willingness to travel and interest in software tools like GIS and contaminated site databases.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
