Flagship's Preemptive Health & Medicine Initiative is pioneering a new field to protect, maintain, or improve people's health before they get sick. Starting with the premise that health should be accessible for all, this initiative is pursuing interventions that protect health from external threats and those that can prevent or delay the onset of diseases. This work has the potential to revolutionize the way we prepare for the next infectious disease threat and the way we prevent and preempt disease such as Type 2 Diabetes, cancer, and neurodegenerative disorders, adding years to life and life to years.
Position Summary:
Reporting to Senior Partner for Preemptive Health and Medicine, the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) for Preemptive Health and Medicine at Flagship Pioneering, you will play a pivotal role in driving our mission to protect, maintain and improve people's health before they get sick. This high-impact role involves spearheading research initiatives, setting scientific strategies, and leading a dynamic team of scientific colleagues to develop groundbreaking preemptive health technologies and therapies. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of scientific vision, leadership acumen, and entrepreneurial spirit.
