Technical Product Manager – Overhead Products

Reporting to the Global Product Line Manager of Overhead Technologies, this position is for a driven and technically skilled Technical Product Manager to support global MV and HV overhead switching product lines through application-focused technical product management. You'll collaborate with engineering, marketing, quality, supply chain, and sales teams to grow revenue and margin, manage the product roadmap, support market research, quality initiatives, and customer needs. This high-visibility role is ideal for someone eager to deepen their product management skills and make a significant business impact.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting development and execution of the product line's strategic direction, portfolio management, and roadmap planning
• Conducting market research, analyzing trends, and gathering customer insights to inform product initiatives
• Assisting in New Product Development (NPD) and Change Management (CMR) processes
• Monitoring new product launches and refining internal processes
• Developing sales tools, product training, and go-to-market materials in collaboration with marketing
• Supporting sales teams with technical expertise, bid strategies, certifications, and market forecasting
• Analyzing product performance and making recommendations for pricing and competitiveness
• Resolving product, quality, or supply chain issues through cross-functional initiatives
• Managing product lifecycle, including enhancements and end-of-life planning
• Representing the product team at trade shows, customer visits, and internal events

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (BSEE or BSME)
• Minimum 3 years' experience in sales, application, or product engineering
• Strong technical aptitude, especially with engineered-to-order or complex products
• Effective presentation and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work cross-functionally
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving and organizational skills
• Passionate about growing product lines and delivering customer value

Preferred:

• Experience in Power Distribution within the electrical industry

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Office environment, PC use
• Light lifting (up to 25 lbs)
• Travel 10-15%

Compensation & Benefits:

Annual salary ranges from $72,980 to $94,915, based on skills and experience. Eligible for Quarterly Incentive Pay. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, health reimbursement, tuition reimbursement, 401(k), profit sharing, vacation, and a modern manufacturing facility.
