Job Summary:

In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position is also responsible for collaborating with others to manage the successful completion of major or several smaller system and non-system projects; independently conducting and reviewing analyses and providing recommendations to drive insights to develop overall metrics in order to help operations and solve business problems; driving the development, implementation, and re-engineering of programs, both system and non-system, aimed at enhancing member service, patient care, and healthcare outcomes; leveraging expertise in technical and (e.g., Tableau, SQL) clinical expertise and insight across functions to ensure proposed changes align with State and Federal laws regarding the practice of Pharmacy, ensuring compliance and legal adherence; partnering closely with pharmacy managers, healthcare providers, and other departments within Pharmacy Operations to develop future-oriented strategies and solutions to enhance revenue, improve member service, and streamlines processes; facilitating conversations upon established effective communication strategies to share information with all stakeholders, fostering transparency and driving collaboration; leading conversations with Pharmacy Managers and other stakeholders within Pharmacy Operations to provide services supporting operational and financial objectives, facilitating conversation with others to ensure alignment with organizational goals; utilizing in-depth knowledge of drug names, indications, dosing, classifications, and alternatives, along with clinical expertise to validate complex to highly complex clinical rule sets involving medications, labs, encounters, diagnoses, and treatment pathways; utilizing clinical systems (ePIMS/KPHC) to validate products and resolve defects, ensuring accuracy and reliability in project outcomes; monitoring data integrity through meticulous quality assurance checks and providing guidance on clinical work; coordinating with IT to uphold pharmaceutical infrastructure integrity, driving the implementation of releases, patches, quality assurance, and systems in tandem with IT protocols; participating in conversations to address senior executive data inquiries, providing advanced analyses to meet their informational needs effectively.

  • Drives strategic data-informed decisions by: consulting with clients to identify and clarify key business needs; developing outcomes and process measures; translating business requirements, determining data/information needs and data collection methods, and developing analysis plans; measuring the impact of business decisions on clients, customers, and/or members as well as working with clients and staff to identify opportunities and methods to improve efficiencies with analysis while supporting and training end-users; and documenting processes and deliverables.
  • Executes creative data analytic approaches leading to actionable outcomes by: defining and calculating metrics to be analyzed as well as defining, calculating, and validating algorithms; and conducting analyses, including descriptive, correlational, inferential, and/or predictive statistics.
  • Gathers data and information on targeted variables in an established systematic fashion by: validating moderately complex data sources as well as querying, merging, and extracting data across sources; completing routine data refresh and update; providing user training, support, and documentation; and developing and/or delivering tools for electronic data collection.
  • Develops analytical and/or statistical models enabling informed business decisions by: determining data and analytical requirements; and creating, testing, refining, and validating models leading to actionable insights.
  • Develops, implements, and automates business and reporting solutions by: working with stakeholders in their design, planning, and implementation while ensuring consistency and coherency, evaluating and summarizing data and results, creating summary statistics, and developing data reports, visualizations, and/or interactive Business Intelligence (BI) reports; reporting to stakeholders on key findings as well as identifying needs for the development and implementation of additional reporting solutions; and preparing documentation as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years experience in SQL, Tableau, AI, ML, and Excel.
  • Six (6) years experience in data analysis.
  • Doctorate in Pharmacy or equivalent degree (i.e., Bachelors of Pharmacy) AND minimum one (1) year of experience in data analytics or directly related field.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
  • Pharmacist License (from any state) required at hire
