ACS Manufacturing is a state-of-the-art design build manufacturer of acoustical equipment enclosures, fuel tanks, turbine systems and skids. We have one of the largest facilities in the industry, nearly 300,000 square feet on 36 acres in Denison, Texas and has expanded its operation to 150,000 square feet facility in Abbeville, SC.

Job Summary: The Plant Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the manufacturing facility. This role ensures the efficient, safe, and high-quality execution of all production activities. The Plant Manager will lead cross-functional teams, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and drive operational excellence in alignment with company goals and customer expectations.

Job Responsibilities/Duties: Plant Manager

  • Oversee daily operations across all production departments, ensuring alignment with production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols
  • Analyze production orders and shipping schedules to determine material, labor, and equipment needs. Allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines and optimize throughput
  • Monitor product quality through inspections and testing. Address and resolve production discrepancies, non-conformities, and process inefficiencies
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to department supervisors. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA, local, state, and federal regulations. Promote a proactive safety culture through training and risk mitigation.
  • Identify and implement lean manufacturing practices, workflow enhancements, and cost-saving initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste
  • Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of materials and supplies. Monitor inventory levels and minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with vendors, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues, streamline processes, and support new product introductions
  • Maintain accurate records of production metrics, work orders, and operational performance. Provide regular updates to senior leadership
  • Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and support a positive work environment. Lead by example in ethical conduct and professional behavior
  • Will perform duties in a moral and ethical manner
  • Responsible for any other tasks that may arise

Work Environmental & Physical Demand:

  • May stand for long periods of up to 12 hours.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively, as well as frequent twisting and bending, to meet fast paced work demands
  • Work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, heights and extreme temperatures. May work inside or outside to complete work assignments. Position requires exposure to dust and dirt.
  • Follow safety standards in working with multiple services, tools and equipment.
  • Minimum Requirements/Experience:
  • Must have 5+ years in a manufacturing setting
  • Must have 3+ years in a supervisory role
  • Knowledge of all the production processes and familiar in performing all the positions duties.
  • Must have experience in vendor relationship management
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment

Required Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management, Engineering,
