Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual Regulatory and Import Compliance Manager to lead our efforts in importing food products from China to the U.S. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of FDA regulations and food safety standards, along with experience navigating international trade processes. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with U.S. import laws and facilitating seamless product entry into the country.
The position also includes support in trade logistics and inventory distribution, but the primary focus is regulatory and compliance oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
FDA Application Management (40%)
- Lead and manage FDA application filings for food and beverage imports from China.
- Ensure all imports meet U.S. food safety and labeling regulations.
- Liaise with customs officials and regulatory agencies to clear inspections and resolve compliance issues.
International Trade & Import Oversight (40%)
- Manage and coordinate international shipments, primarily from China.
- Oversee documentation, customs processes, and compliance with international trade regulations.
- Maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, brokers, and customs agents.
Supply Chain & Logistics Support (20%)
- Assist with domestic supply chain activities such as warehouse distribution and inventory flow to retail stores.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize delivery timelines and cost efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (verbal and written) to coordinate with Chinese suppliers and U.S. regulatory bodies.
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulatory processes and U.S. food import compliance.
- Experience with international trade and cross-border import operations, especially from China.
- Background in food engineering, food safety, or regulatory affairs is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, International Trade, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Familiarity with customs documentation and trade compliance systems.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working across time zones and teams.
