Description of Role:

As the Operations Manager for BMH Equipment LLC, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of parts and service operations across multiple locations statewide. You will lead through data-driven decision-making, strong financial acumen, and a deep understanding of aftermarket service in the industrial equipment industry. Your mission: build high-performance teams, drive operational efficiency, and ensure a culture of safety and customer-centric service while managing full P&L accountability for the division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • P&L Ownership: Own and manage profit and loss for all service and parts departments across your territory. Partner with location leaders to identify revenue opportunities and cost containment strategies.
  • Safety Leadership: Champion a zero-incident safety culture. Implement proactive safety initiatives, drive accountability, and embed safety into all daily operations.
  • KPI Management: Drive performance on key metrics to maximize customer satisfaction and overall profitability.
  • Standardization & Efficiency: Develop and implement operational benchmarks and SOPs to streamline performance across locations. Eliminate redundancy and optimize workflows using lean methodologies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of service managers, parts managers, and administrative staff. Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and mutual respect.
  • Customer Focus: Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to ensure superior service delivery and long-term relationship building with key clients.
  • Market Expansion: Identify new geographic markets for growth. Develop scalable leadership structures to support expansion and ensure operational readiness during market entry.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Provide accurate and timely reporting on financial performance, operational KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives to executive leadership.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of senior management experience in service operations, preferably in the material handling, heavy equipment, or industrial service sectors.
  • Proven track record managing multi-site operations with full P&L responsibility
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, scale teams, and drive growth in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of forklift servicing, parts operations, dispatch logistics, and technician workforce management preferred but not required
  • This role requires frequent travel within your territory to support branch operations (30-50% travel)
