Job Summary
The Enterprise Project Management (EPM) Leader is responsible for establishing and driving the organization's project management strategy, ensuring the successful delivery of enterprise-wide initiatives. This role provides leadership, governance, and oversight for complex projects across multiple departments, fostering a culture of excellence in project execution, alignment with business goals and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership – Develop and implement enterprise-wide project management frameworks, standards and best practices to ensure consistent and efficient project execution,
- Portfolio Oversight – Oversee the planning, prioritization and management of a diverse portfolio of projects, aligning them with organizational goals and strategic initiatives,
- Governance and Compliance – Establish and maintain project governance structures, ensuring adherence to methodologies, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with executive leadership, business units and external partners to define project objectives, scope and success metrics.
- Resource Management – Lead resource planning and allocation across projects, ensuring optimal utilization and development of project teams.
- Risk and Issue Management – Implement risk management processes to proactively identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Performance Monitoring – Track project performance through KPIs and dashboards, providing regular status updates and insights to senior leadership.
- Continuous Improvement – Foster a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating project outcomes, lessons learned and integrating best practices into processes.
- Team Leadership – Build, mentor and develop a high performing project management team, promoting professional growth and accountability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related field; PMP, PgMP or equivalent certification preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or enterprise-wide role.
- Proven experience managing large, complex, cross-functional projects and portfolios.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile, Waterfall)
- Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence at all organizational levels and drive change.
- Proficiency with project management tools and software.
- Advanced data analysis and reporting skills.
