The Role:This role is an onsite role in Nuevo Emperador area in Panama. The principal responsibility is to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operations of the plant. The Operations Manager has significant responsibility for operational deliverables, execution of projects, process details, data maintenance and analysis, operational decision making, and leading the operations team in operations and maintenance activities. This role also ensures that all company EH&S guidelines are followed. The Seven Seas Operations Manager works cross-functionally with U.S. based Seven Seas Water's operations, engineering, project management teams, EH&S team, and the field service team. Requirements•Ensure the safe and reliable treatment of water that meets the specified final water quality and quantity•Meet or outperform all safety goals and objectives set for this position and the team•Review/recommend/implement/maintain Environmental Health and Safety initiatives•Lead and execute projects using disciplined project management methods•Manage project timelines, scope, and schedules•Lead operators in execution of maintenance and operations activities for plant s •Prepare budgets for annual operating costs•Ensure effective communication with APSA' General Manager, SSWG headquarters and headquarters supporting functions as well as management•Implement and ensure all preventive maintenance programs are completed on time and documented•Provide ongoing training to operators on system operation and maintenance•Provide documentation of plant condition, operations data and accurate/timely field reports•Make Engineering/Operations recommendations for system improvements to management•Understand drawings including mechanical piping, P&ID's, electrical and general equipment•Maintain state of the art education through manufacturer coursework/reading manuals on the process and equipment, preventive maintenance, rebuilding, repairing or replacement techniques and assist in standardization and rollout of maintenance philosophy and techniques to operatorsQualifications/Requirements:•Proven team leadership with positive business results and work culture•Plant management experience with relevant process knowledge•Skilled in the use of computers and software solutions; Microsoft Office suite of programs including MS Project, ERP systems, CMMS & EAM systems, and generally IT literate•Basic SCADA and PLC knowledge•Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in Spanish and English•Effective English communication skills (written and verbal)•Panamanian citizen or permanent resident . •Must be able to read, understand and make good use of process and instrumentation drawings•Able to interpret process and instrumentation drawings•Must be physically fit and capable of physically working on equipment•Valid passport with no criminal historyEducation/Experience:•Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field providing significant background knowledge water treatment, or equivalent experienceHow to Apply:Please send resumes to ...@7Seaswater.com or apply online directly at: We recognize that our people are our strength, and the diverse talents they bring to our global workforce are directly linked to our success.
