Job Summary Details:
The Operations Engineer I performs scheduled maintenance, safety inspections, and repairs on various types of equipment and reports to the Operations Engineer III.
Pay:
$49.76/hour
The listed pay is an hourly range for this position. Actual offers will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market data.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical field, or five (5) years of equivalent engineering experience
- Valid, unexpired driver's license
- Engineering license in the jurisdiction where work will be performed
Preferred Qualifications:
- With a Bachelor of Science degree, three (3) years of prior engineering experience is preferred
- Without a Bachelor of Science degree, seven (7) years of prior engineering experience is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Follow safe practices and comply with company and regulatory standards
- Operate heating, ventilating equipment, engines, turbines, motors, pumps, air compressors, and other machinery at the client site
- Collaborate with internal and external customers on technical issues, work scope, and failure investigations
- Provide engineering support for systems, maintenance programs, engines, and operational functions
- Analyze and develop solutions for design, operation, maintenance, and repair issues
- Define maintenance or troubleshooting procedures to ensure safe and legal operation
- Review manufacturer service bulletins and develop solutions and implementation plans
- Manage project implementation, cost/benefit analysis, and warranty recovery
- Coordinate with operational groups to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency
