Construction and Maintenance Project LeadFull Time | PermanentLocation: Bellingham Reentry Center | Bellingham, WASalary Range: $6,504 - $7,540 MonthlyThis position is represented by the Washington Federation of State Employees.This position requires in-facility work daily.The WashingtonState Department of Corrections has a unique opportunity for an experienced construction guru to join the Bellingham Reentry Center as a Construction and Maintenance Project Lead! The goal of this position is to keep critical infrastructure, equipment, and security systems in functional working order which contributes to the overall safety and security of Bellingham Reentry Center (BRC), staff, incarcerated individuals, and the community.Under the direction of the Reentry Center Manager (RCM), the Construction and Maintenance Project Lead (CMPL) maintains and oversees maintenance and construction projects at Bellingham Reentry Center. In this role, you will directly manage and supervise all phases of construction, maintenance, and repair of the building grounds, plumbing, electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment to ensure the building and all items inside the facility are in good working order.The candidate of choice will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical systems, boilers, hot water tanks, plumbing, refrigeration, and the HVAC systems as well as developing and planning long range preventative maintenance programs, reports, and developing capital project requests which are critical to sustaining buildings and equipment.The Construction and Maintenance Project Lead (CMPL) directly contributes to the agency's mission to improve public safety and we are on the lookout for a candidate who also would like to see this mission to fruition.
