This position is responsible for the management and control of all operational activities related to Respiratory Care Services, including inpatient services, and Pulmonary Function Testing. This position has direct supervisory responsibility for one Supervisors, respiratory therapy and sleep lab clinical and support staff. There is also extensive external contact with peer directors, Unit Directors, physicians, nurses and equipment representatives. Responsibilities: Lead the development, design, implementation and administration of Respiratory Services, programs and initiatives. Assist in the development of Respiratory Services strategic business plans, which incorporate short and long-term projects to meet the mission, vision and goals of UPMC and the department. Coordinate, facilitate and coach project teams, preparing and documenting plans and implementation.
