Job Title: Controller Location: Meridian, ID (On-site) Industry: Commercial Construction Compensation: $150K DOE Overview CV Resources has partnered with a well-established and growing commercial construction firm in Meridian, ID to identify a seasoned Controller . This is a high-impact, on-site leadership role reporting directly to the President , with full responsibility for accounting operations, financial reporting, and team management. The ideal candidate is a CPA (or CPA-track) with deep experience in construction accounting, strong leadership capabilities, and proficiency in Sage software. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Oversight Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including AP/AR, GL, job costing, payroll, and month-end close Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and internal reports Monitor WIP schedules and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition Manage cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning Maintain internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance Team Leadership Supervise and mentor an accounting team Provide clear direction and professional development for staff Foster a collaborative and accountable department culture Strategic Collaboration Work closely with the President and leadership team on financial strategy and decision-making Support project managers and estimators with job costing and financial tracking Liaise with external CPA firms, banks, and bonding companies Qualifications CPA strongly preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a construction or project-based environment Proficiency in Sage (ideally Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate) Strong knowledge of construction financials, WIP reporting, and job costing Proven leadership and team management experience Excellent communication and organizational skills Compensation & Benefits Base salary of $150K , depending on experience Bonus potential Health benefits, PTO, and additional perks Opportunity to work closely with executive leadership in a stable and growing company To Apply Interested candidates should submit their resume directly to CV Resources for confidential consideration.
