Part Time Receptionist
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Part Time Receptionist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in New York, New York. This role requires someone who can serve as the welcoming face of the company, maintain a high level of expertise, and handle a variety of administrative tasks with efficiency. The position involves working one day a week, with potential opportunities to provide coverage on additional days as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, ensuring a warm and detail-oriented welcome.
- Manage a multi-line phone system, including answering and directing inbound calls efficiently.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, projecting a detail-oriented company image.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless communication and operations.
- Provide backup coverage for other reception staff during absences or time off.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools to complete tasks and support office operations.
- Coordinate with other departments to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
- Uphold confidentiality and a high level of expertise when handling sensitive information.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a receptionist or in a related role.
- Proficiency in managing multi-line phone systems and switchboards.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain a detail-oriented approach and presentable appearance in all interactions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to provide coverage on additional days when necessary.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
