Salary : $40,206.40 Annually Location : Criminal Justice Center Sanford Job Type: Full Time Non-Exempt Job Number: E18201 Department: COURTS / OPERATIONS 168 Division: Case Maintenance Opening Date: 07/21/2025 Description JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Case Maintenance Team Leader, the Deputy Clerk I is responsible for the opening of cases and inputting of pleadings and/or related information into computer database. This will be a remote position once training is completed. This position is classified as non-exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Examples of Duties ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Inputs detailed data into case management database, updates, and docketing information. Sets court events, ticklers, and updates disposition of cases.
- Assigns case number, verifies statute numbers, and assigns Judges as appropriate.
- Monitors calendar and orders various reports/forms accordingly; distributes reports to appropriate party or agency.
- Assists in answering questions from customers and co-workers via telephone or email when necessary.
- Attaches images to entries and accepts / processes electronic images.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature/level.
Typical Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or its equivalent (G.E.D).
- Must be able to type a minimum of 35 correct words per minute.
- Valid Florida Driver's license.
An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or work experience will be considered. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
